ChoateIA seeks to deliver sustainable and attractive long-term investment results. We currently advise on $10 billion (as of December 31 2024) for our client families and help design wealth strategies for billions more.

ChoateIA's investment expertise, working in collaboration with the law firm's wealth management services, allows our group to deliver a fully integrated family office for generations of families.

ChoateIA offers clients independence, integration and institutional quality client service. As an Analyst you will work with both the financial planning team and portfolio managers to provide exceptional client service. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, flexibility to work in structured and unstructured environments as well as an understanding of financial planning and investment portfolios. While no two days will look the same, primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Financial planning:

  • Prepare and manage client Net Worth reporting in Addepar.
  • Input client data into financial planning software, eMoney.
  • Assist in creating customized financial plans, including retirement planning, education savings, and gifting plans.
  • Prepare financial planning reports, projections, and presentations for client meetings.
  • Draft email responses to client financial planning questions.
  • Create and maintain standard financial planning reporting
  • Maintain and build financial planning tear sheet library
  • Monitor market conditions and industry best practice for financial planning to provide relevant support and insights.


Client service:

    • Create customized client presentations for the investment team.
    • Aiding portfolio managers with client communications by communicating directly with clients to either resolve or escalate issues.
    • Independently lead Ad-hoc client projects and present to portfolio manager and client.
    • Develop and produce investment materials in conjunction with team.
    • Gather and analyze client feedback and questions to improve presentation materials.


A successful candidate will have the:

  • Interest in and general knowledge of financial planning, investments, key industry terms and broad financial concepts.
  • Familiarity with tax and estate planning.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take instruction from team members.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to ask for help.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and well organized, with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize a large workload with professionalism.
  • Ability and desire to solve problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Open-minded, flexible, and willing to listen to other people's opinions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to maintain databases and update financial data.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 1-5 years of experience in the investment or financial planning fields.
  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude for Certified Financial Planner designation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience using PowerPoint and Excel in a work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with limited oversight.

Work Authorization:
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by the Firm (either now or in the future).

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range for this specific position at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
