POSITION SPECIFICS The School of Hospitality Management (SHM) in the College of Health and Human Development is seeking a Lab Coordinator -Social Sciences. The Lab Coordinator is responsible for coordinating operational activities in a research or instructional laboratory. The Lab Coordinator ensures laboratory security, efficiency, and quality control; serves as safety officer; assists with planning labs, experiments, and research projects; provides instruction and support to students; contributes to research project advancement; ensures equipment and material availability; maintains relationships with agencies, contractors, vendors; complies and reports project funding, sourcing, and research progress data; assists with grants and proposals. The lab coordinator will also facilitate rental agreements with PSU employees to rent out our private facility.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: NoneWork Schedule Due to the nature of the role, this position works primarily onsite at the University Park campus. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. During peak season, there will be variable hours and various shifts due to events and lab responsibilities, which may include night and/or weekend shifts.
