What You'll Do:

Customer Service. Work with internal/external customers to ensure orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Create Signs. Fabricates highway traffic signs. Plan work procedures and establish priorities for constructing, installing, and repairing traffic signs.

Operate Machinery. Operate machines (printers, plotting cutters, laminators, panel saw, and more while maintaining the highest levels of production and quality standards. Lays out highway signs according to specifications. Must be able to operate forklifts, punch presses, shears, vacuum applicators, heat applicator machines, cutting shears, and a variety of hand and power tools. Performs routine shop functions including but not limited to equipment & shop maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep and participates in installs as necessary.

Maintain Inventory. Ensures that an adequate stock of sign-making materials is maintained and ensures proper storage of materials and inventory control.

Cost Management. Estimate materials, time, and cost requirements for projects.


Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Education. A high school degree or its equivalent is required.

Experience. At least 1 to 2 years experience as a digital production systems operator preferred. One year of experience in graphic arts or related jobs.

Communication Skills. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Technology Skills. Advanced computer knowledge, face-to-face customer service experience, working in a professional copy/print area. Knowledge of print shop operations and use of offset and other equipment related to the industries.

Physical Requirements. Must be able to lift or pull 50 lbs.
