Job Description:

The Process Engineer - Integration Level 4 will define integration flows, resolve cross-module issues, and drive yield improvements across the fab and be responsible for process integration in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Integration Ownership: Leads and defines integration strategy with minimal oversight setting technical direction and standardizing best practices. Act as the technical interface between unit process engineers and device integration teams to ensure process modules meet overall device performance and yield targets.

  • Technology Transfer: Lead the transfer of process technologies from R&D or pilot lines to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and manufacturability.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Influences fab-wide process flows and long-term technology roadmap. Work closely with design, process, equipment, and yield engineering teams to align process flows with product requirements.

  • Process Flow Definition & Optimization: Develop and refine integrated process flows to meet electrical, physical, and reliability specifications.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate yield excursions and device failures using systematic problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze electrical test data, inline metrology, and defect data to identify integration issues and drive corrective actions.

  • Design of Experiments (DOE): Plan and execute DOEs to optimize integrated process performance and resolve complex interactions between process steps.

  • Documentation & Specifications: Maintain detailed documentation of process flows, integration strategies, and transfer protocols.

  • Process Qualification: Support qualification of new processes and materials, ensuring they meet reliability and performance standards.

  • Change Management: Evaluate and implement process changes with minimal impact to production, ensuring robust change control and risk mitigation.

  • Yield Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement and defect reduction across the full process flow.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Influences, leaders projects and mentors others across departments.
