SUMMARY

We are looking for an Sr International Tax Accountant to join our US Corporate Tax team. The Sr International Tax Accountant reports to the US International Tax Manager and is responsible for preparation of U.S. international tax calculations, for provision and compliance including related tax forms (e.g., 5471, 8858, 8992, 8993, 1118, etc.) Responsibilities also include reviewing local/foreign tax provisions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of the US International tax calculations including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and FTC models for quarterly tax provision.

  • Tax return/compliance, including preparing supporting workpapers and reviewing international tax forms (e.g., 5471, 8858, 8992, 8993,1118, etc.).

  • Review of foreign book-tax differences to support foreign tax provisions.

  • Support timely delivery of workpapers and documentation requested by external Auditors.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to streamline and increase efficiencies in the tax provision and compliance processes.

  • Provide support to managers as needed for Tax projects or planning initiatives.

  • Respond to inquiries from various tax authorities, both foreign and domestic, and assist with tax audits.

  • Research and monitor changes in tax legislation, international tax treaties, and accounting standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required, Masters in Accountancy is highly preferred.

  • CPA is preferred, not required.

  • Minimum 4 years' experience corporate tax required. Preferably at least 1 years' experience in international tax.

  • Public accounting experience is required.

  • Oil and gas industry experience is not required but a plus.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Oracle, CCH and Tagetik

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax principles.

  • Understanding of transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.

  • Able to quickly adapt to and understand new ideas, concepts, and processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and demands with a high degree of accuracy

  • Strong attention to detail and effective organization skills.
