Job Description




As a Security Guard - Government Patrol Driver in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining approachable to offer exceptional customer service, and maintaining clear communication with staff and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and promptly report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all personnel and visitors.
  • Complete required documentation and reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
