Senior Engineer Americas Gold & Silver \| Wallace, Idaho \| Full-time \| On-site Job Description Americas Gold & Silver is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Engineer to support the engineering team at our Galena Complex in Wallace, Idaho. This key technical role is responsible for executing and managing mine engineering functions including short- and mid-range planning, drill and blast design, ventilation, and infrastructure support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Engineer and operations teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement short- and mid-range mine plans, including development and production scheduling. Prepare detailed drill and blast designs and support daily underground production activities. Monitor and update ventilation and ground control systems to maintain safe working conditions. Collaborate with geology, operations, and maintenance teams to support stope design, resource extraction, and production targets. Assist in the development of infrastructure planning such as backfill systems, dewatering, and power distribution. Ensure engineering compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across mine planning, scheduling, and operational efficiency. Support the mentoring and technical development of junior engineers and interns. Prepare technical reports, plans, and documentation for internal and regulatory purposes. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or related discipline. Required: Minimum of eight (8) years of underground mine engineering experience. Strong proficiency in mine planning and design software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, or equivalent). Solid understanding of underground mining methods, ground support, ventilation, and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
