Salary Range Starting At: $ 3,360.00

Job Description:

As the Christmas Driver/Helper you will be responsible for driving Kettle Routes and supporting other Christmas programs and activities ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.

What You Will Do:



  • Establish and maintain the kettle site work schedules, resolve scheduling conflicts, and arrange for contingencies
  • Assist in the printing/preparing of bell ringing reports and statistics, secure funds for counting as directed
  • Provide customer service to kettle locations
  • Lead or arrange for daily devotions
  • Drive kettle routes to deliver/pick up kettles, check on ringers and transport ringers as needed
  • Arrange for placement and collection of counter kettles
  • Other tasks as assigned by leadership


Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) At least 18 years old; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed.

Experience: 1-year informal supervisory experience

Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.

Skills/Abilities:



  • Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.

Average Daily Environmental Conditions Frequency

Environment: No exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, less than 2 hours chemicals or hazardous equipment.

Medical Environment: Exposure to body fluids, radiation, Nonmedical equipment, solvents or chemicals.

Noise: Exposure to constant or intermittent extreme 2 to 5 hours Temperature: Exposure to extreme heat or cold either more than 5 hours indoors or outside.
