The Department of
OBGYN & Reproductive Health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is seeking two (2) instructors at the full-time level. The position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced molecular biology, reproductive biology, and next-generation sequencing-based approaches.
Job responsibilities will include:
Research Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive research strategies that align with the overarching objectives of the laboratory. Scientific Discussion: Actively engage in and lead scientific discussions to evaluate data, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and formulate new hypotheses. Experimental Work: Design, execute, and analyze experiments using diverse methodologies and technologies, including:
Animal Studies: Manage mouse colonies and prepare samples for research, including breeding, genotyping, harvesting, injections, and surgical procedures. Histological Analysis: Perform tissue sectioning, H&E staining, immunohistochemistry, and cryosectioning. Molecular Biology: Conduct DNA, RNA, and protein analyses such as extraction of DNA, RNA, and proteins, cloning, transfection, qPCR, Western blotting, and co-immunoprecipitation. Cell Culture: Carry out standard cell culture techniques and experiments
Manuscript Preparation: Draft, edit, and revise manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Grant Writing: Assist in the development of grant proposals, including drafting sections, compiling supporting data, and contributing to revisions to secure external funding. Teaching and Mentorship: Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to students and trainees within the laboratory. Ethics and Compliance: Ensure full compliance with institutional, animal care, and biosafety regulations.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
