Overview

TRC is currently seeking a Senior EHS Program Manager/Consultant to join our growingEHS Services, Multi-Media Compliance Practice. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and results-oriented leader who works with stakeholders to understand project needs and manages teams to deliver services to meet those requirements. The candidate will have experience in environmental consulting with a focus on environmental, health and safety regulatory programs including, air, hazardous materials, hazardous and solid waste, water quality, wastewater, storm water, safety compliance regulations.

The Senior EHS Consultant is responsible for networking with clients (internal and external) to identify and define projects, developing and negotiating proposals, building teams of technical staff and sub-consultants to execute work, maintaining quality and risk management processes to keep work on track, and delivering according to scope, schedule, and budget. The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to work both independently and as a member of a team and will be expected to build on TRCs EHS and Multi-Media Compliance practice.


Responsibilities

  • The Sr EHS Consultant role will focus on growing operations as well as managing Key Clients with a focus on Environmental, Health and Safety compliance services.
  • Experience in writing proposals and setting budget to clients.
  • Client relationship management and growth, client outreach, development, and management.
  • Work with client account managers and account teams to meet client expectations and increase services provided to the client.
  • Provide multi-media EHS compliance expertise to a wide variety of industrial, municipal, commercial, and transportation clients, including, but not limited to, conducting EHS compliance audits, developing SPCC and SWPPP plans, preparing Tier II and TRI reports, developing EHS programs and procedures, providing training, and ISO program implementation.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide compliance and regulatory support for multiple clients and facilities.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies for permit development and compliance.
  • Strong technical writing and data management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Prepare client deliverables.
  • Experience to manage, and monitor project budgets, scopes, project deliverable quality, and schedules; demonstrate the ability to lead and manage compliance projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.
  • Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Maintain a billable utilization target.
  • Apply quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

    • Willing to perform office/desktop based and field duties.
    • EM 385 certification.
    • Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills and professional and team-oriented work environment.
    • Experience working closely with Industrial Hygiene teams and indoor air assessments.
    • Experience with ISO 14001/9001/45001 management systems.

    Required Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., planning, geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, environmental science).
    • Minimum 15 years of environmental consulting experience in industrial multi-media environmental compliance with various manufacturing environments across targeted industries.
    • Willing to travel for project work up to 30% time.
    • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current annual refresher (preferred).
    • CSP and/or CHST certification.
    • Strong familiarity with federal and state EHS/ OSHA regulations in general industry, power, construction, petro-chemical and other sectors.
    • Demonstrated success in project and client management.
    • Ability to lead a cross functional team of EHS professionals.
    • Ability to develop a positive relationship with our clients and employees.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check.
    • Valid driver's license is required.
    • Strong MS Office Suite skills.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
