Job Title: Employee Benefits Account Representative

Location: Greater Chicago Area (Hybrid Remote, Once a Month Onsite)

Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Classification: Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Our client, a well-established Employee Benefits brokerage, is seeking a motivated and client-focused Account Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start as an Account Representative while quickly progressing to a full Account Manager role, handling small group accounts and providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for small group clients, ensuring timely communication and high-quality support.
Assist with plan enrollments, renewals, and ongoing account updates.
Collaborate with internal teams-including Customer Service, Benefit Analysts, and Open Enrollment Specialists-to deliver effective employee benefits solutions.
Maintain accurate account records and documentation.
Learn and apply industry regulations and best practices to support clients effectively.

Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA

Support onboarding of new clients and guide them through benefit programs.
Qualifications:

Active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License required.

Experience with small-group benefits in a traditional brokerage setting is required; however, prior Account Management experience is not necessary.
Strong communication skills, professional presentation, and client-oriented mindset.
Quick learner, adaptable, and eager to grow into a full Account Manager role.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple client accounts efficiently.
