Summary Echo Technologist-Full-Time Full-Time, FTE 1.0, 40 hrs. I First Shift BHCOR-Radiology Diagnostic I Corbin, KY Baptist Health Imaging services include Inpatients, emergency patients, as well as Outpatients. The procedures and imaging provided are as follows but are not limited to: Diagnostic Procedures: Hysterosalpingogram, Nephrostogram, Arthrograms, Sinograms, Pyelograms, Cystograms, Barium Studies, Portable X-Ray and Fluoroscopy, and all Routine Radiographic Exams. Provides health care services by applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis. Performs Sonography procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a Radiologist, Cardiologist or a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. Job Description: Echo Technologist-Full-Time Produce quality images for Radiologist/Cardiologist review. Record image release in EHR and verify PACS archiving. Send images to tele-radiology after hours; report PACS issues. Participate in peer review andassistwith ACR accreditation. Support equipment/software selection with leadership. Order/restock supplies,reportequipment and safety concerns. Schedule maintenance with vendors;assistwith EHR updates. Manage inventory, equipment upkeep, and budget proposals. Stay current on regulatory standards. Verify orders, patient identity, andhistory;document in EHR. Perform time-out procedures; follow exam protocols. Provide initial interpretation; coordinate with transport/nursing. Monitor patients during exams;assistproviders as needed. Maintain professional conduct and teamwork. Follow hospital policies; manage patient flow and staff schedules. Train students and new employeesonequipment and protocols. Adhere to dress code and safety equipment requirements. Attendsafety training and infection control programs. Participate in fire and disaster drills; follow emergency guidelines. Requirements: Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) License Current License with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry Basic Life Support Required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
