Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will ensure the physical IT infrastructure, including cabling pathways, network rooms, and site readiness, is properly integrated into construction plans and future system deployments. This role is vital to building the foundation for robust, scalable, and secure network operations supporting mission-critical systems. In this position, you will:

    Oversee the planning and integration of physical network infrastructure into construction and renovation projects.

  • Ensure cabling pathways, network rooms, and power requirements meet performance and security standards.

  • Coordinate with construction teams, architects, and IT engineers to align physical infrastructure with future system deployments.

  • Review and approve engineering drawings, site surveys, and documentation for network readiness.

  • Conduct site inspections to validate installation quality, compliance, and readiness.

  • Support capacity planning and scalability assessments for future technology growth.

  • Provide technical oversight to subcontractors and vendors performing infrastructure installations.

  • Maintain detailed as-built documentation and network infrastructure records.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and operations teams to ensure physical designs support secure, resilient networks.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associate's degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.
  • Proven experience in network infrastructure engineering or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, network room design, and site readiness planning.

  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI) for cabling and physical infrastructure.

  • Experience coordinating with construction teams and subcontractors on large-scale projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • Familiarity with FAA systems, federal modernization programs, or critical infrastructure environments.

  • Certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+.

  • Experience with data center build-outs, PoE deployments, or hybrid network environments.

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and physical security best practices for network facilities.

  • Background in capacity planning and scalability strategies for evolving network demands.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
