The Logistics Coordinator is a key contributor to the distribution center's operations, serving as the main contact for transportation, deployment, and security. This role ensures the smooth flow of loads in and out of the facility by monitoring truck movements from the RSO to the dock and communicating load status to stakeholders. The coordinator is responsible for reconciling detention requests in a timely manner and collaborating with the team to resolve claims. They track the site's on-time readiness and coordinate line-to-truck orders with carriers, aligning with the production schedule. Additional duties include creating STO loads, maintaining shipment dates, and providing backup support to the Shift Operational Supervisor. This includes managing labor plans, operational adjustments, and end-of-shift reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with customers both internal and external
  • Inventory awareness
  • System management
  • Works closely with QA Resource
  • Print unload, load and pick documents
  • Seal investigation
  • Dock Door management
  • Detention Reconciliation
  • Communication with transportation and deployment
  • Maintaining unload discrepancies
  • Handling returned process
  • Back up to the workflow flow coordinators
  • Perform backup duties for Shift Operational supervisor, including shift labor plan, shift labor adjustment, operational adjustments and end of shift reporting
  • Coordination with Material Handling Resources when covering for Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Associate's degree preferred but not required

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years of experience in a material handling environment is desired.
  • The individual should be able to exercise sound judgment, be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet daily requirements and deadlines.
  • Have excellent oral and written communications skills, take the initiative and be flexible and cooperative.
  • The individual should also be accurate, timely, and have the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of EMS, EWM and PINC

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
  • Mathematical skills
  • Precise data entry skills
  • Ability to operate computer and other basic office equipment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Skill to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Must excel in a team environment
  • Must be results orientated in a changing environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including working 12 hour shifts and weekends
  • Must have a customer focused mindset
