Nestle USA's Strategy and Transformation Team is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Portfolio Management Specialist to support the management of enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This role is central to enabling prioritization, funding, value capture, governance, and strategic alignment across Nestle USA.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Portfolio Management, the Senior Portfolio Management Specialist will manage the intake, prioritization, and performance tracking of initiatives spanning strategic and digital transformation, M&A, and business optimization. The role offers exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape Nestle's transformation agenda. This position is based at Nestle USA's headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze portfolio performance, risks, and strategic alignment to support fact-based decisions on enterprise investments.
  • Support implementation of project portfolio processes and governance focused on value and impact to Nestle USA.
  • Develop portfolio and financial reports to support decision-making across governance bodies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, the Portfolio Team, Business Leads, IT, and the Value Capture Office to publish reports monitoring costs and benefits for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Facilitate the intake process for new business cases and change requests.
  • Advance programs/projects through portfolio approval steps and ensure the portfolio tool is updated with the latest financial information.
  • Build trusted and effective relationships with Project Managers across the organization to ensure successful project and portfolio delivery, and facilitate issue resolution as needed.
Requirements and Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Portfolio management certification (e.g., PMI PfMP, Axelos MoP) or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid financial and business acumen, with preference for experience in Nestle USA's financial statements or a similar consumer packaged goods company.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; demonstrates a bias for action and the ability to lead others through complex situations.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Experience
  • Minimum of three years in finance or portfolio management and governance.
  • At least two years in project coordination, management, or delivery.
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
  • Ability to analyze quantitative investment data and use financial database tools.
  • Experience working in a complex matrix organization and guiding teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret functional and technical requirements.
  • Ability to set clear expectations and hold cross-functional teams accountable for deliverables.
