Job Overview:

Built on a legacy of reliability and impact, we're seeking an Inventory Specialist to own and elevate our plant inventory operations
.

You'll be the eyes and ears of inventory
, spotting issues, flagging discrepancies, performing scrap adjustments, and applying your hands-on manufacturing expertise to keep operations running flawlessly. As the go-to guide for product operations leaders
, you'll investigate root causes of inventory errors, introduce countermeasures, and continually improve inventory management processes. The ideal candidate holds strong experience in inventory management principles, cycle counting, and SAP (MM/IM modules)
. This role is key to driving operational efficiency
, minimizing variances, and ensuring materials are available when and where they're needed to support production.

Responsibilities
:


  • Ensure accurate physical counts of all inventory issues for cycle count.
  • Project manage full inventory count events with guidance and instructions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in SAP through timely and precise transactions, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Communicates cycle count results to all levels in the organization.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on problem areas and discrepancies; submit corrective action not just limited to physical counts
  • Track and record cycle counts.
  • Provide SAP training and support to cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Identify and implement cost improvements and opportunities for inventory reductions.
  • Analyze inventory trends, identify excess or obsolete stock, and collaborate with stakeholders (Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing) to resolve issues
  • Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions for inventory processes and SAP transactions.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material traceability, and warehouse organization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and safety standards.
  • Embrace IR tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements.
  • Follow company safety procedures and standards to ensure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contactors, customers, and property.


Requirements:


  • Associate degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in inventory management within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Solid understanding of inventory control methodologies like cycle counting, ABC classification, and FIFO/LIFO.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (IM, MM, WM), and comfortable managing inventory transactions and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Procurement, Production, and Customer Experience teams to support smooth material flow and minimize disruptions.
  • Proven history supporting material planning and replenishment activities that ensures inventory accuracy and availability.

The base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $90,000 annually. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
