Job Description

The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is filling a Research Consultant II position that will serve as a MURR Production Lead over the Non-Carrier Added Lutecium production team. This position will report to the Assistant Production Manager. The MURR Production Lead will play a critical role in the regular and successful production of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Isotopes. This lead position will be responsible for a team of Technicians that conduct the processes involved with the production and release of these critical isotopes.

Key Duties Performed by This Position Will Include

  1. Supervise a production team, including scheduling, development, delegation, and communication. Train and develop new staff including performance appraisals, providing routine feedback, and coaching. Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Assist with hiring new staff.
  2. Supervise a cGMP or related production process or processes including scheduling, overseeing the various complex steps of the process, and ensuring process commitments to customers and patients are met.
  3. Oversee process Key Performance Indicators trending and budget.
  4. Future planning such as staffing assessment, process and staff scheduling and inventory management, and reagent preparation.
  5. Drive change management, process efficiency, and development/implementation of process improvements and robustness, and reduce waste.
  6. Identify, assess, escalate, and resolve critical process issues with short timelines for resolution based on procedure and the facts available.
  7. Participate and contribute in cross functional meetings with production, QA, QC, RA, development, HP, shipping, finance, reactor, irradiations, safety, and senior management.
  8. Perform technical writing (SOP, change control, deviation).
Shift

This position is designated and responsible for the NCA Lu process, specifically the C shift portions and will require rotation between B and C shifts. Additional shift work rotations may be required based on needs.

C shift is typically ~6pm to 4am (whenever process is done), and B shift is ~10am to 8pm. These could change somewhat in the future depending on how the timing of the processes fall.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in cGMP manufacturing or cGMP quality environment.
Nuclear radiopharmaceutical manufacturing experience

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
