Open Date Sep 12, 2025 Description The Department of Economics at Dartmouth College invites applications for a full-time, tenured Associate or Full Professor of Economics to begin as early as July 2026. Qualified candidates will focus their research on issues related to energy and the environment, with achievements commensurate with a tenured appointment. This position is designed to build collaboration with the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society and will include teaching in their Master of Energy Transition degree as well as an intellectual presence in the Institute. The Dartmouth Economics Department is a community of teacher-scholars with commitment to both academic research at the highest level and to a rich and impactful undergraduate educational experience. Its faculty spans most fields of economics, but is united in its applied focus and policy orientation. The faculty regularly collaborates with researchers at other universities as well as with other parts of Dartmouth, including the Geisel School of Medicine, Tuck School of Business, Rockefeller Center for Social Sciences, and Dickey Center for International Understanding. Qualifications Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field. Qualified candidates will have a strong research record and the promise of continuing a high level of research activity, with a keen interest in classroom teaching and mentorship of both undergraduate and graduate students of all backgrounds.
