Systems Engineering Group, Inc. (SEG) seeks a scientist to support the missile defense community by developing physics-based and statistical radio-frequency (RF) models and algorithms, and cutting-edge data products for ballistic missiles and hypersonic vehicles exhibiting endoatmospheric waking. These tools and products allow customers' high-fidelity radar simulations to include the effects of wake and plasma on radar observations. These efforts support the development and testing of missile defense systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop physics-based and statistical RF wake and plasma models and algorithms
  • Develop RF signature wake and plasma data products
  • Work with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, subject matter experts, and support staff to deliver products on tight schedules
  • Document algorithms, tools, and data products
  • Contribute to testing and requirements development for RF wake and plasma simulations
  • Present technical work and provide technical expertise at conferences and meetings with customers, collaborators, and competitors

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and meet eligibility requirements for a security clearance (see https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/pv/fso/applicants/)
