Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
We are seeking a strategic, highly organized, and execution-oriented Chief of Staff to support the General Counsel (GC) in leading a global Legal team of approximately 300 professionals. This is a newly created role designed to maximize the GC's impact across priority initiatives and provide operational and strategic leverage across the Legal organization. The role is dependent on the leader being in the role.
As Chief of Staff, you will be based in New York, manage a 4-person Legal Operations team and play a central role in driving the GC's strategic agenda, aligning leadership priorities, driving key initiatives, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration. This role requires exceptional executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate seamlessly across geographies, time zones, and seniority levels.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Execution & Initiative Management
  • Partner with the GC to define, prioritize and execute key strategic initiatives across the global Legal function.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, thought partner, and proxy for the GC in select internal and external engagements.
  • Monitor progress on Legal department KPIs and cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
Operational Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Legal Operations team to drive process improvement, efficiency, and innovation across the Legal organization.
  • Oversee key business operations including budgeting, vendor management, and technology implementation within the Legal department.
  • Manage internal communications and reporting cadence to ensure transparency and alignment across the global team.
  • Drive and shape key initiatives or topics that are critical to the Legal agenda (e.g., AI tooling across the Legal function), in partnership with members of the Legal leadership team and in apeer-like fashion alongsideother leaders.
  • Shape and coordinate leadership team meetings, all-hands, offsites, and key forums - from agenda-setting to facilitation and follow-through.
Executive Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Support the GC in preparing for Board of Directors and Management Team meetings, including building content, gathering inputs, and shaping strategic messaging.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment and collaboration with key partner functions such as Risk, Compliance, Finance, Internal Audit, and Communications.
  • Drive consistency and excellence in communication and reporting across all executive touchpoints, ensuring clear narratives, data integrity, and impactful storytelling.
Team & Culture Enablement
  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture through team communications and collaboration.
  • Serve as liaison between the GC and broader Legal team, providing feedback loops and surfacing opportunities for organizational development.
  • Help drive onboarding, talent planning, and career development initiatives across the Legal function in collaboration with HR/People partners.
Your Growth
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.

Your qualifications and skills
  • U.S. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 7+ years of experience in a strategy, operations, consulting or chief of staff role in a complex, global organization
  • Strong executive communication, empathy, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and execution skills; excels in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Excellent problem solving, analytic, and project management skills - often managing several projects at the same time, that requires artful orchestration and prioritization and the ability to play different roles (for example, very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, budgeting experience, comfort and familiarity with AI tooling, product assessment/RFPs and deployment)
  • Positive attitude with a willingness and a drive to "get things done"
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive cross-functional alignment on various topics in a structured and collaborative way
  • Ability to work in-person (team schedules and office locations may vary)
