DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the creation and maintenance of the statewide articulation agreement and Technical Institutes, as well as enhancing and improving the delivery of career and technical education services and related training programs through the involvement of business and educational partnerships. Work involves:
- Developing criteria for federal CTE regulations (Perkins) required statewide articulation agreement
- Maintaining relationships with Perkins postsecondary recipient representatives
- Verifying data provided by Perkins postsecondary recipients
- Serving as the division representative with the state Workforce Development Board (WDB)
- Developing alignment policies and processes that the secondary and postsecondary Perkins recipients shall implement
You will also be responsible for providing leadership and technical assistance for the nurse aide training program. This includes providing guidance to local operators of programs that train nurse assistants intended for employment in health care institutions. Work involves:
- Reviewing and approving new nurse aide training program applications
- Completing onsite compliance reviews

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- This position requires statewide travel.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $77,379.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Career and Technical Education Advisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of professional career and technical education experience including two years in the development and implementation of career and technical education curricula or programs; or
- An equivalent combination of professional career and technical education experience and training, which includes two years in the development and implementation of career and technical education curricula or programs.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a minimum of two years full-time professional career and technical education experience in a 9-12 or postsecondary school environment.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
