What you will do

  • Develop and support electronic control systems for automated fire detection and suppression on heavy duty off road / mining vehicles.

  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, firmware developers, product management, and manufacturing operations.

  • Work with approval agencies to achieve and/or maintain product approvals.

  • Perform failure analysis of returned product and occasionally travel to customer/end user sites to determine root causes of field issues.

  • 50% new product development

  • 30% support of existing products including agency approval

  • 20% troubleshooting and root cause analysis

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent four year technical degree

  • 3+ years of product development experience related to commercial, industrial, or vehicle control systems

  • System level design and/or analysis

  • Component level circuit analysis

  • Design verification testing

  • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing

  • Root cause analysis

  • Familiarity with DMM's, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition units

  • Technical writing

  • Written and verbal communications

  • Familiarity with software/firmware development

  • Computer proficiency including MS Office
