*Position includes driver and office responsibilities. Schedule: Rotating Days & Nights (12-hour shifts), Every Third Weekend & Holiday Requirement, 40 hrs/week On-Call Requirement: Mandatory on call shift 2-3 days per 6-week schedule
Oversees operations and provides oversight of all transport ambulances and EMS operations. Responsible for the direction of workforce, developing and implementing procedures and processes, assuring quality and regulatory compliance tasks, and advocating for the highest standards of customer service. On call hours required.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the EMS and ambulance fleet. Ensures, monitors, and performs staff orientation, on-going training, evaluation, and feedback.
- Directs and schedules workforce appropriately to provide timely service on a routine and as-needed basis. Ensures processes and staff are in place to ensure timely follow up and resolution of any concerns received by clients.
- Maintains and enforces all safety and regulatory guidelines related to ambulance and supplies. Ensures proper records and appropriate documentation for all fleet vehicles.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of databases and software to effectively manage workload, pull reports and assist with troubleshooting.
- Oversees daily Fleet Management operations that include regular service, maintenance repairs, licensing, fuel consumption, inspections, and insurance on department wide scale. Maintains cost effectiveness and maximizes available resources.
- Performs quality analysis, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance tasks, maintaining appropriate supply inventory and assisting with employee training and competency.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree preferred or previous experience with managing staff and EMS fleets in liu of degree. Licensure Requirement:
- Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
- Must maintain current patient care role within the transport department.
Certifications: CPR, required. Skills:
- Effective interpersonal skills required in interactions with department staff, clients and other NCH personnel. Exceptional office skills to include computer skills, phone etiquette, customer service and best practice awareness. Ability to resolve conflict, and effectively interact with staff, clients and management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic computer knowledge, required.

Experience:
- 3 years of experience in related field, required.
- Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
