DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Services Analyst Supervisor in the Office of Children, Youth and Families, Bureau of Policy, Programs and Operations, Division of Operations you will perform supervisory responsibilities for the quality assurance and training positions within the Division of Operations in ChildLine. In this role, you will oversee employees responsible for analyzing, coordinating, developing, monitoring, planning, training, and evaluating program operations for training and quality assurance. This position also involves the final review and supervision with regards to developing and updating training material and quality assurance reviews of completed intake and assessments conducted by ChildLine caseworkers to support the mission and work of the PA Office of Children, Youth and Families, Bureau of Policy Programs and Operations, Division of Operations.

Some additional responsibilities of the position include assisting your team in the training of ChildLine staff, developing new training materials, analysis and interpretation of the Child Protective Service Law (CPSL) and future amendments, adjusting trainings to CPSL changes, identifying data trends, reviewing of special project work, responding to reports from the public, oversight of investigations, assisting in the development or redesign of systems, compiling reports on any findings to management and senior leadership, attending and representing at meetings regarding the interests of ChildLine, and processing employee leave and self service requests. The responsibilities within this management position are performed under the general direction of the Division Director for the Division of Operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Services Analyst (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
