DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Analyst 2, you will work as the Employee Relations Coordinator for Ebensburg Center, responsible for managing the full scope of Employee Relations activity for a 24/7 ID Center with a complement of approximately 930 salaried employees. Work will focus on coordinating facility employee relations activity for employees covered by bargaining unit agreements. This involves maintaining and implementing a comprehensive Employee Relations Program and providing technical support to management, supervisors and employees. You will analyze problems and provide technical support to department heads and staff at all levels. You will be expected to make recommendations to supervisors and managers on employee work performance, time and attendance issues, and disciplinary actions in compliance with Commonwealth policy and applicable contract language. You will have the opportunity to facilitate regularly scheduled labor management meetings and discussion with union and management representatives; ensuring meetings are scheduled as requested and both parties can provide input.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Hours may change based on operational needs
  • Telework: After successful completion of a 180-day probationary period, you may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to three days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to Ebensburg Center on a full-time basis. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Travel and overtime as needed
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
