DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for the thorough workup of all patients under your care, including performing detailed psychiatric examinations and providing a psychiatric diagnosis in accordance with criteria based on the most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. Duties include prescribing the indicated treatment orders and interpreting consultations, laboratory, and other findings. In this role, you will act as team director in conducting team meetings and responsible for formulating individual comprehensive treatment plans. Drawing upon the expertise and advice of the interdisciplinary staff, you will establish treatment goals and assure that the treatment modalities are provided. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive reports of detailed psychiatric examinations, weekly and monthly progress notes, monthly team reviews and revision of individual treatment plans, and discharge summaries. You will also participate in the community support plan procedure for all patients, where you will develop a discharge plan involving viable housing and follow-up treatment to prepare patients for re-entry in the community.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Evening, weekend, and holiday on-call hours may be required.
- Overtime and travel: As needed
- May change based on operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires the possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
