We are looking for a seasoned, practical Paralegal who will be responsible in responding to subpoenas and similar requests; assisting in document gathering and preservation projects; recording and reporting subpoena-related expenses; managing and negotiating resolutions to minor disputes with customers, vendors, and other third parties; and assisting with contract review and negotiation.

Required:

  • Experience in:Responding to discovery requests, civil investigation demands, and subpoenas;

  • Gathering, compiling, and working with voluminous written and electronic data and documents, particularly in e-discovery;

  • Making, finding, and retrieving court filings; and

  • Using electronic data search tools and databases.

  • Strong reading comprehension abilities and organizational skills.

  • Oral advocacy and negotiating abilities.

  • Ability to review and revise simple legal documents, such as settlement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and protective or scheduling orders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience managing calendars, deadlines, correspondence, and files.

  • Experience with e-discovery tools.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher.

  • Three or more years' experience at a law firm or in-house legal department, with some experience working on litigation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Enjoys working on litigation and dispute resolutions.

  • Assumes ownership of projects and pushes them through completion.

If you are hired in Belmont, the compensation range for this position is between $77,000 and $143,650 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
