Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Project Manager (PM) to serve as an end-to-end owner of a compliance modernization program for a national agency - integrating policy, risk, technology, training, workforce engagement, and audit remediation. LMI is seeking a strong leader to help a priority client face their toughest challenges and take advantage of the tremendous opportunities in today's rapidly evolving environment. The PM will lead a team of policy, governance, regulatory compliance, risk, change management, and technology experts to assess the agency's current compliance program, make recommendations to modernize the governance and risk framework, draft new policies and policy-related material, and implement enhanced technology solutions for future-thinking compliance program. The PM will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, as well as coordination with agency stakeholders, including working groups, subject matter experts (SMEs), and executives. The PM will oversee all phases of the project's lifecycle, consistently implementing effective project management solutions to drive successful outcomes.


A successful LMI PM will be highly skilled in communicating governance, risk, and compliance questions and recommendations, collaborating with a variety of technical owners and teams, and navigating a sensitive environment. They will demonstrate competency in leadership, strategic thinking, relationship management, delivery excellence, and business growth while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

    Lead and coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams including policy, risk and controls, data and technology, deployment, and contract oversight.
  • Manage project timeline, resource allocation, and budget monitoring across designated tasks.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level reports and lead strategic engagement with senior leadership .
  • Gain client approval on the criteria and framework for the governance, risk, and compliance transformation, utilizing standards and requirements provided by client leadership and LMI subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Bring SME and analyst influenced recommendations to the client to address the critical risk and compliance challenges.
  • Manage client expectations to ensure alignment to long term program goals and organizational priorities.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure deliverables meet defined standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Facilitate leadership interviews, planning workshops, and strategy syncs.
  • Coordinate with customer for any technology access needs, technology assessments, or approvals.
  • Identify and assess risks at the program level, coordinating with stakeholders to develop and execute mitigations plans.
  • Build and maintain trusted partner relationships with customer leadership.
  • Work with market and program leaders to set and reach financial goals and key performance metrics.
  • Ensure LMI delivers excellence to the client, as measured by program milestone achievements and customer feedback.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Project management experience
  • Minimum of 10 years consulting experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance (includes fingerprinting, background check, and drug screening).
  • Subject matter expertise in governance, risk, and compliance
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a "client first" attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with government customers and establish a rapport at various levels of leadership
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of project management best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and exhibit flexibility based on changing client needs

Desired Skills

  • Master's degree in business, policy, or finance highly preferred
  • 15+ years supporting operations for a government or commercial entity
  • 15+ years consulting experience
  • Agile, Scrum, and/or Lean Six Sigma certification(s)
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) highly preferred
  • High level of business acumen, ability to develop and implement strategy
  • Strong connector - make insightful connections to bring the right people together to solve problems and grow the business
  • Experience with GAO/OIG remediation planning and reporting
  • Prosci/ADKAR
  • Federal IT governance familiarity

Target Salary Range- $109,242 - $189,108
