Job Summary

The Manager Special Projects - Testing will be responsible for developing the testing strategy, coordination of testing efforts, and support of testing best practices in support of the Energy Delivery Program. The Energy Delivery Program is a multi-year transformational program for customer operations and customer services across the WEC Energy Group footprint. The Manager will be responsible for the testing strategy and methodology that will be utilized by both business and technology resources to facilitate testing in the Energy Delivery Program. Activities may include collaboration with various project teams to ensure overlapping testing is successful and not duplicative. The Manager will work with Program leadership, Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Delivery and project teams to ensure all phases of testing needed are well defined, managed, and executed.

The intent is that this position will be a part of the Energy Delivery Program for the duration of the program and will be incorporated into operations at the conclusion of the program. This will ensure knowledge and skills gained through work on the program will continue to support operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identifies and prioritizes Energy Delivery Program projects. Reviews, monitors, manages and reports on the project portfolio. Ensures that projects are adequately resourced and that they follow accepted Project Management methodology. Takes steps to bring about successful project outcomes. Leads and manages high profile, high impact EDP projects.
  • Provides leadership, direction and coaching support to employees in a manner consistent with the company's values and expectations. Develops employee leadership and technical skills through development plans and succession planning activities. Creates an environment for personal growth and development through talent management strategies and processes. Promotes and models WEC Energy Group's vision, mission, values and expectations.
  • Understands and actively supports WEC Energy Group's strategies and business plans. Provides information and insights into the development of WEC Energy Group's strategies and business plans. Partners with other departments and with operational units to insure that their strategies and business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
  • 1+ years of experience in change management
  • 1+ years of experience with process and quality management concepts, measures & statistical control
  • 3+ years of experience in formal or informal leadership
  • 3+ years of experience with successfully managing multiple simultaneous projects involving several departments with multiple team members and projects that exceed $1M and six months in duration
  • 5+ years of exprojecperience of demonstrated ability in utilizing formal project management tools and methodology to successfully deliver projects.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a professional project manager as a primary responsibility
  • Valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related degree
  • Testing methodology experience

End Date: 09/17/2025

Pay Range Minimum: $117,004.94

Pay Range Maximum: $175,507.54

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
