The manager is responsible for leading the charge to identify and assess new technologies for the advancement of electric reliability and resiliency, specifically through integration of distributed energy resources and advancing distribution automation on the CPS Energy electric system. The manager will lead, develop, and implement appropriate strategies and processes for the realization of the approved grid modernization roadmap's strategic goals. The manager will be responsible for the execution of the Department of Energy (DOE) grant funded Community Energy Resiliency Program and other related large scale grid modernization projects, with a focus on robust program management, technical solution delivery, compliance risk management, and organizational change management. Grade: 18 The manager will lead and develop strategic team efforts around advanced technologies (i.e., FLISR, VOO, BESS, Microgrids, and other resiliency technologies), and execution of departmental goals and objectives, management of projects and deliverables, including budget and schedule adherence, stakeholder, and communication management, and process oversight. The manager will be responsible for managing relationships among cross functional internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and executive management with a focus on strategy, planning, and oversight. They will manage external contract resources and oversees joint relationships (i.e., universities, national labs, governmental agencies, and utilities) on research and implementation programs. The manager will establish collaborative and strong relationships with operational leaders and decision makers throughout the organization to promote the discovery and assessment regarding emerging technologies and innovative infrastructure methods and processes that enable the business unit to develop strategies and support initiatives to transform from a conventional utility grid to a grid focused on sustainable resources and economically and operationally efficient programs that enable long-term growth. Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentation software, and electronic mail.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior management.

Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, mathematics, information technology or related field from an accredited university. Required Certifications
