Electrical Trade Worker

The primary purpose of the Trades Worker in the Electrical Shop is to assist in maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems of campus facilities. This position is also required to do non-licensed maintenance and repairs such as changing electrical receptacles, switches, light ballasts and bulbs.

Duties:

Maintain and repair end use electrical components such as switches, receptacles and light fixtures.

Assist with maintenance of electrical systems of campus facilities.

Log work hours and a description of work done and material used on Work Orders.

Regularly scheduled on-call duty required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

NC driver's license is required.

1 year or less work experience.

Preferred:

No prior electrical training required but helpful.
