Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

This position is located at our Milan Ohio facility



Responsibilities

OVERVIEW

Seeking junior degreed engineer or science equivalent candidate with 1-4 years' experience in project organization, technical coordination and interface with project management and lead engineers to ensure technical deliverables are realized within cost and schedule. This is an onsite position requiring organized and proactive communication with all elements of the project.

    TYPICAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Adhere to all applicable Company, Customer and Industry safety standards and practices.
  2. Support of various team elements common in standard aerospace and/or facility projects including purchasing/procurement, fabrication, shipping/receiving, design and test engineering, project management and scheduling.
  3. Able to organize multiple tasks with various project leads/management to ensure schedule is maintained.
  4. Interface with project leads/management to support integrated master schedule task status updates.
  5. Assist in maintaining various project rosters and task registers as required.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics desired (from an ABET accredited college or university, or equivalent). Candidates with highly relevant experience will be considered without degree.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication required.
  3. Should be a naturally analytical person and capable of working in both a team and solo environment.
  4. Knowledge of MS Office software required.
  5. Comfortable with multi-tasking, seeking solutions independently and strong organizational skills necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and phone skills.

Ability to hear normal conversation. One eye (minimum) correctable to 20/20.

Office equipment includes computers (basic excel, PC Data processing), calculators, FAX, copier, scanner, printers. Personal transportation vehicle
