JACKSON ELECTRIC MEMBERSHIP CORPORATION JEFFERSON, GEORGIA POSITION DESCRIPTION Marketing & Member Services Internship - Jefferson District Office I. POSITION OBJECTIVES To support the Marketing and Member Services department to ensure tasks are completed as needed. To provide support to internal customers as needed. To complete routine daily work, other work as assigned and work on projects as directed. Position requirements EDUCATION: Must be enrolled in High School. EXPERIENCE: Experience with computer systems and software applications similar to those at Jackson EMC is preferred. KNOWLEDGE: Must possess a solid basic working knowledge of computer systems. SKILLS: Must have effective communication skills, both written and oral, problem solving and organization skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Must be meticulous, self-motivated and maintain strict confidentiality. II. RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: District Office Supervisor, Jefferson District Directs: None Internal: Shall foster the development of those supportive relationships essential to the fulfilling of the functions of this position, achieving the results expected and encouraging throughout the organization the concepts of teamwork and cooperative spirit. External: Shall maintain supportive relationships with member consumers, the general public, and other contacts to assure that satisfactory results are achieved. Physical activity/requirements of the position: hearing, talking, standing, bending, carrying supplies, repetitive motions. Visual Acuity: Machine operator, computer work. Conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. IV. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES To fulfill the objectives of the position the employee so designated shall have full and complete authority to carry out the responsibilities assigned to this position. Essential functions of the job: 1. Support the Marketing and Member Services department and Jefferson District Office as needed. 2. Assist with general clerical duties such as filing, organizing documents and data entry. 3. Scan and process applications and other paperwork into electronic filing systems. 4. Maintain accurate records with strict confidentiality. 5. Perform basic office tasks such as copying, shredding, and organizing supplies. 6. Support staff with special projects as instructed. 7. Provide necessary assistance to internal customers. 8. Be familiar with and follow the best safety practices set forth in the Cooperative's Safety Manual. 9. Attend job training and safety meetings as required or directed. 10. Attend and participate in annual meeting as needed and available. 11. Perform other duties as may be required or directed. |
