Description Associate/eCommerce Business Development Manager, Walmart - Pet Distribution We have an exciting opportunity to develop our growing Walmart.com 3P business! Pet Distribution is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate/eCommerce Business Development Manager, Walmart to oversee and expand our 3P business on Walmart.com. This role is responsible for end-to-end management of our distribution customer catalog, pricing strategies, promotions, operational processes, and partner integrations, ensuring our marketplace presence meets high performance standards and drives sustainable growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Catalog & Item Readiness: Manage the full product catalog lifecycle by collaborating with Product Information Management (PIM) and operations teams to ensure items are set up accurately, enriched with SEO-friendly content, and compliant with Walmart listing requirements.
- Business Development: Grow and maintain the current business with Walmart.com and develop additional brands onto Walmart.com.
- Pricing, Promotions, and Deals: Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies, special promotions, and deal events in partnership with Walmart
- Order & Returns Management: Collaborate with internal teams to manage returns, cancellations, and customer disputes, prioritizing resolution and customer satisfaction.
- API & Technical Integrations: Partner with the API team to build plugins, configure ship points, and create custom integrations that improve workflow efficiency and automation.
- Channel & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart merchants, account managers, support teams, and distribution customers.
- Advertising & Marketing Strategy: Manage ad spend and track performance against benchmarks and analyze and report campaign performance.
- Financial Reconciliation: Confirm customer payments, coordinate invoices, and reconcile orders with finance teams to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
- Performance & Quality Monitoring: Monitor listing quality scores and key operational metrics (e.g., order defect rate, on-time shipping, customer feedback) to maintain compliance and achieve Pro Seller Badge standards.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and present KPIs, including sales revenue, units sold, orders, Average Unit Retail (AUR), and return rates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA Degree in a business discipline
- Our experienced Business Development Manager candidates will have 5+ years of experience in managing Walmart 3P Marketplace, Walmart Connect Spend, or similar eCommerce marketplaces, preferred.
- Associate Business Development Manager candidates will have 1+ years of experience in managing Walmart 3P Marketplace.
- Experience with managing Direct-to-Customer (DTC) fulfillment and Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), required.
- Strong understanding of product information management, digital merchandising, and fulfillment operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and eCommerce dashboards.
- Technical aptitude to collaborate effectively with API teams and developers.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent at creating relationships and working along a cross functional team.
- Experience managing Amazon 3P, preferred.
- Experience working with Salsify or similar PIM systems, preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Prelude, preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Required overnight business travel approximately 10% of the time

- This position pays $90,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and location. This role is also eligible for a sales incentive bonus based on plan parameters and achievement of sales goals.
