The Opportunity

The Adobe BCDD DMe Business Architecture team is looking for a senior solution architect with a passion for contributing towards technical innovation that meets well-defined business goals and associated success metrics. You will get to partner across multi-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and design to improve our product offerings.

Your responsibilities will include talking to our customers, identifying high-priority use cases, and working with product management, internal engineering, and other architects to implement solutions across our multi-functional business initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Perform requirements analysis, study market trends, and formulate informed recommendations.
  • Help define our innovation strategy and roadmap for addressing high priority opportunities.
  • Prioritize good bets for innovation investment.
  • Work multi-functionally with Product, Engineering, Digital Media Business Unit, UX, and others to deliver new innovative solution features.
  • Drive architectural design for multiple initiatives.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Desire to own your work - from requirements through architecture, implementation, and operations.
  • Conversant with architecture design principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze, capture and optimize end-to-end business process and enabling solutions.
  • Strong experience building solutions for performance, scale, and resilience.
  • Knowledge of multiple cloud providers and popular business application vendors is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL and data/info management concepts.
  • Proven verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • 10+ years of experience as a solution architect or similar business application analysis and design role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct industry and new technology research to understand standard processes and challenges with new and emerging technologies.
  • Create and own target architecture for a platform/product together with Enterprise Architects.
  • Advocate for technical improvements that support platform scaling and resiliency to meet the current and future needs of the business.
  • Influence solution adoption of new features and benefits by product managers, engineering team, and collaborators.
  • Provide technical leadership and architecture recommendations/options to incrementally align to target architecture based on staffing, schedule and/or budget constraints.
  • Develop proof-of-concept work to validate proposed solutions.
  • Review and validate solution designs from other team members and dependent projects/products.
  • Obtain approval for new/changed solution architecture at the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Maintain architecture documentation/artifacts for the area of responsibility.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $83,400 -- $176,300 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
