we are looking for you as a(n) Production Engineer - Dispersions.

We are currently seeking a Production Engineer in our Dispersions department for our site in Calvert City, KY.

What you will do:

This position is responsible for production process optimization, product quality, new product trials and scale-ups, troubleshooting process/equipment problems, and computer DCS support. The incumbent will introduce process improvements to achieve production targets in the areas of onstream, cycle times, quality, waste reduction, and operating costs. This position supports OSHA PSM activities such as PHA, PSSR and MOC.




  • Optimize production processes and plant capacity - reduce cycle times, waste, and utility costs. Improve on-stream percentage.
  • Assist R&D in new product trials and scale-ups to the plant.
  • Improve product quality and reduce B-grade production.
  • Troubleshoot issues - interface with operations personnel to resolve daily production issues/problems.
  • Provide support to operators on D3 distributive process control system.
  • Maintain PSM compliance - perform required safety tasks, complete required training courses, and keep ISO calibrations up to date for assigned systems.
  • Assist with design reviews, hazard reviews, etc. as needed.



What we need from you:



  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline


  • 3-5 years process/production engineering experience in the chemicals manufacturing industry
  • Must be able to determine solutions to material loss and equipment downtime problems
  • Learn and explain procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative work environment with others
  • Must be able to identify opportunities for cost reduction in the operating process
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
  • Process Controls and DCS experience
  • Process Controls experience with the D3 computer system.


  • Basic understanding of batch chemical processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of distributive process control systems.
  • Strong process/production troubleshooting skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and technical background
