Description

The Community Resource Navigator plays a key role in connecting individuals and families to critical services through strategic community engagement. This position works directly with schools, clinics, libraries, and faith-based organizations to assess needs, build strong referral pipelines, and ensure that underserved populations - especially those in remote areas - have equitable access to services. This role includes travel throughout the 12-county region and offers both virtual and in-person support. This position serves Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Ft. Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Waller, and Wharton counties.


The Navigator will serve as a client advocate, troubleshoot barriers to access, and provide referrals to clients to internal/external agency assistance programs that can assist with enrollment into key benefit programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and SSI/SSDI. In addition, they will represent Endeavors in interagency working groups, develop targeted outreach strategies in collaboration with the Marketing team, and contribute to regular reporting on outreach efforts. This is a grant-funded position.


Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:



  • Establish and maintain direct referral pipelines with schools, clinics, and faith-based organizations.
  • Conduct in-person drop-ins at libraries, churches, community centers, and public meetings to promote services and connect clients.
  • Host virtual outreach and service navigation sessions for clients in rural or hard-to-reach areas.
  • Provide 1:1 support to clients facing barriers in accessing resources, including documentation, transportation, or technology limitations.
  • Provide referrals to clients to internal/external agency assistance programs that can assist with enrollment into government assistance programs.
  • Serve as a program representative at interagency coalitions, task forces, and community engagement events.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop culturally responsive outreach strategies and address community perceptions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on outreach, engagement metrics, and partnership development.
  • Provide support coverage during staff leave as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service in every interaction by placing the child, family, Veteran, or client first in alignment with the Endeavors mission: "Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities."



Essential Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Communications, Social Work, or a related field preferred.


Experience:



  • Minimum of 1 year experience in outreach, community engagement, social service delivery or related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local resources and public benefit systems.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and marginalized communities is highly preferred.


Licenses & Transportation:



  • Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.
  • Daily use of a personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement provided.


Other Requirements:



  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by management.
  • Must be available and willing to travel across counties, including occasional evening or weekend events.
