What you will do
Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced an ERP Technical Architect to join our team, specializing in Sage Intacct ERP application and a strong ability to navigate across other similar ERP technologies like Oracle Netsuite and additional Sage applications. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective configuration, optimization, and support of our ERP systems to enhance financial operations and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ERP system architecture and extensive experience in supporting General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, Asset Management / Fixed Assets, Budgeting and Forecasting, Cost Accounting, Tax Management, Compliance, and Audit support from a system configuration perspective. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring segregation of duties within the ERP systems. This is a remote opportunity for candidates that are based in the US.

How you will do it

  • ERP System: Plan, design, configure, and maintain the architecture of Sage Intacct ERP and Oracle Netsuite systems to support various financial functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, Asset Management / Fixed Assets, Budgeting and Forecasting, Cost Accounting, and Tax Management.

  • Audit and Compliance Support: Provide technical support for audit execution and compliance activities, ensuring that all financial processes and systems adhere to regulatory standards and internal controls.

  • System Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize ERP system configurations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

  • Segregation of Duties: Implement and monitor segregation of duties within the ERP systems to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the integrity of financial data.

  • Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of system architectures, configurations, audit processes, and compliance procedures.

  • Training and Support: Provide technical training and support to end-users on ERP system functionalities and audit processes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and compliance to ensure seamless integration and operation of ERP systems.

  • Transformation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, scope and requirements for potential ERP landscape rationalization efforts

What you will need
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in ERP system architecture and configuration, with specific experience in Sage Intacct and Netsuite.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Intacct and Netsuite), strong understanding of financial processes and controls, and experience with system configuration and optimization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address system issues and improve processes.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data and system configurations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Relevant certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ERP-specific certifications.

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a large organization or consulting firm.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for financial processes and audit support.
