JOB PURPOSE:

The Lead Service Coordinator and Crisis Intervention Specialist will support the Director and Program Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Family and Youth Services Support Community Services program. This position provides supervision of the Crisis Intervention Specialist and Service Coordinators. The Lead Service Coordinator and Crisis Intervention Specialist will have training and experience in trauma-focused case management, motivational interviewing, and conflict resolution. The Lead Service Coordinator and Crisis Intervention Specialist will support clients, including referrals, scheduling appointments, continuity of care, and access to appropriate services. This program services 12 Texas counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Waller and Wharton counties. This position supports rural geographical regions and travel is involved. This is a grant-funded program.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:





  • Crisis Intervention and Support: Supports crisis cases that occur during a regular business day, after hours, and on weekends and holidays. Facilitates emergency response activities, including notifying a response team, providing resources, and managing logistics to ensure a swift and efficient response.
  • Collaborates with external agencies, such as mental health professionals, law enforcement, and emergency services, to coordinate crisis response efforts.
  • Facilitates crisis prevention and intervention training for the Family and Youth Services Support Community Services program.
  • Monitors performance, documents as necessary, provides ongoing feedback and timely evaluations.
  • Mentors the team in best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepares and submits timely reports.
  • Ensures the assigned team is trained, supported, and managed to meet program deliverables and outcomes.
  • Meets regularly with the Program Manager to review services, staff, and program. Provides ongoing program evaluation and recommendations to the Program Manager for continuous growth and quality.
  • Represents Endeavors on interagency working groups and at stakeholder engagement events in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years' experience in child welfare, training and compliance, or comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
