Essential Job Responsibilities:

Our Carrix IT team is seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Architect to execute AI strategy, design, and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data engineering and cloud infrastructure. This role will lead AI initiatives, define AI architecture, and collaborate across teams to develop scalable, compliant, and high-performing AI systems that align with business goals.



  • Define and drive the organization's AI strategy, identifying key use cases, and aligning AI initiatives with overarching business goals.
  • Define scalable AI architecture for machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM), and other AI-driven solutions.
  • Design the end-to-end architecture of AI systems, including data ingestion, storage, processing, model development, deployment, and integration with existing IT systems and networks.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate AI/ML models, platforms, tools, and infrastructure based on performance, cost, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Architect AI solutions that are highly scalable, performant, reliable, and cost-effective to meet current and future business needs.
  • Drive effective and integrated use of AI agents across the organization by establishing standards, fostering agent maturity, and cultivating an agentic environment.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data architectures that support AI initiatives, ensuring data quality, security, and governance.
  • Design AI systems with security and compliance. considerations at the forefront, adhering to relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing enterprise systems and data sources.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to data scientists, AI engineers, and other team members involved in the development and deployment of AI solutions.
  • Effectively communicate the AI vision, strategy, and architectural blueprints to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies, evaluating their potential impact and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Experience in managing AI projects from conception to deployment, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Define and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines for AI development, deployment, and maintenance across the organization.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for AI tools, processes, and systems to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
  • Collaborate across countries and cultures to develop shared practices, standards, and communities of excellence that reflect Carrix's global footprint.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or a related technical field; master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex AI and machine learning systems required in enterprise environments.
  • 8+ years of overall experience leading technology engineering and support organizations.
  • Deep understanding of various AI/ML algorithms, frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), and their application to different business problems required.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or R.
  • Strong experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their cloud-based AI/ML architectures/services required.
  • Hands-on experience building agents via prompting, workflows, or low-code tools relevant to our platform.
  • Proven ability to design scalable and robust data architectures to support AI initiatives required.
  • Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and ethical considerations in AI required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic mindset required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and influence cross-functional teams required.
  • Experience with MLOps practices and tools for automating and managing the AI lifecycle preferred.
  • ITIL certification required (or within 90 days of employment).
  • Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) preferred.
  • Experience in a relevant industry/domain and applying AI to solve industry-specific challenges preferred.
  • Certifications in relevant cloud platforms or AI technologies preferred.
  • Contributions to the AI/ML community through open-source projects, publications, or presentation preferred.
