Overview

Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Charge Nurse, RN to support our offices in Suffolk.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the patient flow for the office Infusion Suite
  • Coordinates patient assignments for add on patients
  • Provide 2nd Checks for RN
  • Collaborates with Providers to Ensure Correctness of Daily Patient Regimens
  • Serves as a Liaison between External healthcare facility for Efficient Patient Care
  • Serves as a Resource for both Clinical and Administrative Staff
  • Provide leadership to Medical Emergency Situations

  • Patient Care as needed

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required; BSN preferred
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Current RN state license required
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • OCN certification preferred
  • Must be willing to travel between offices as needed
