Ground Service Representative - Gulfport Overview:

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Ground Service Representative to monitor ground operations for flights that operate in locations without SCA supervision. They ensure servicing meets regulatory requirements, SCA policy and procedures and IOSA Standards. Secondary responsibilities include providing training for Fueling, Ground Handling, Deicing, Passenger Service, Hazardous Materials, Exit Row Seating, Sabre functions, Part 382, Security, GSC and regular station procedures.

  • Manage trip planning
  • Vendor Training Rosters
  • Flight Manifests
  • Station Profile
  • Ensure ground operations are in accordance with SCA policy/procedures
  • Aircraft handling (marshalling, parking, unload/loading, water and lavatory service, pushback) per Aircraft Service Manual
  • Passenger Service (check-in, boarding, departures, and arrivals) per Stations Operations Manual
  • Execute fueling per Fueling Service Manual
  • Execute deicing per Ground Deicing/Anti-icing Manual
  • Follow security procedures per AOSSP
  • Maintain current and accessible training records
  • Ensure governmental requirements are met
  • Monitor minimum crew requirements
  • Monitor Carry-on Baggage
  • Assign Exit seating
  • Load handling
  • Facilitate on-time departure
  • Support crew
  • Report flight close


Required Qualifications:



  • Must have 2 years airline customer service experience
  • Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) Certification
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, crew etc.
  • Pass all federally mandated drug and criminal history mandated requirements
  • 100% travel


Preferred Qualifications



  • 4 Year College Degree


Compensation:

Pay or shift range: $17.00 - $19.00 USD per hour. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Classification:

Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Work Location:

Gulfport, MS (90%-100% travel required)

Supervisory Responsibility:

None

Work Environment:

This job operates while traveling on the aircraft and in the ramp area. This role routinely travels.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
