Summary:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for its Filer, ID site. This person will be responsible for contributing to the maintenance of our facilities and the machinery and equipment used for Production and Field Operations processes, perform routine preventative maintenance, exterior grounds maintenance, and some light janitorial. Working independently, a positive attitude, attention to safety, and a strong work ethic are essential for this position. The position requires a 40h/week commitment, and the candidate should be willing to work flexible hours and some seasonal overtime.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs minor repair to all buildings and light equipment such as replacing light bulbs, handling minor plumbing repairs, minor repairs and maintenance of greenhouse irrigation and cooling systems, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Major repairs are performed by licensed contractors.
* Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance tasks by the scheduled date
* Perform periodic inspections of company vehicles, maintain cleanliness of vehicles, and schedule maintenance through Client approved service outlets.
* Perform routine groundskeeping duties (mowing, edging, weed control, etc.)
* Completes parts and supply runs as needed
* Assists with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
* Load and unload truck shipments
* Handles assigned work orders and work requests in a timely manner
* Use equipment, including power tools and hand tools efficiently and safely. Keeps tools clean and maintained

Required Competencies:
* Strong written and verbal skills
* Knowledgeable with a computer, including Microsoft Office, Internet, and other apps as needed in this position

* Safety focused. Must work within the guidelines set by Client"s Health, Safety, and Environmental department
* Attention to detail
* Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
* Ability to operate and repair standard farm equipment (tractors, planters, irrigation equipment) is a plus

Position Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or agricultural setting
* Forklift experience (current or recent certification preferred)
* Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
* Handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Team effort for over 50 pounds
