Job Title:Reliability & COTS Supervisor Location:Moss Point, MS Position Overview:A Reliability & COTS Supervisor coordinates and oversees the daily tasks and functions of the Technical Writing (COTS) and Reliability personnel within the facility. The Reliability & COTS Supervisor is also responsible for allocating resources and monitoring job progress to meet contractual budgets/need, providing weekly/monthly status reports to management, and cultivating a supportive team environment for all subordinates. Key Responsibilities: * Coordinates and oversees the daily tasks and functions of the Technical Writing (COTS) and Reliability personnel according to the policies and procedures of the respective contracts. * Allocates resources and monitors job progress to meet contractual budgets/need, providing weekly/monthly status reports to management, and cultivating a supportive team environment for all subordinates. * Reads and comprehends government contracts, standards, etc. * Supervises daily activities of technical writers and reliability analysis * Communicates with vendors, as well as internal and external customers. * Exercises sound judgment in assigning tasks to department personnel. * Researches, develops, and improves processes that drive efficiency and add value to the Company. * Communicates with other department heads to ensure projects are properly aligned. * Adapts to changing priorities and shifts resources as directed by management. * Confers with personnel to provide technical advice and to assist in solving problems. * Supports in the development of proposals as needed. * Provide input on annual departmental budget and monthly progress as it relates to the proposed budget. * Knowledgeable of contract requirements and logistics specifications for the Technical Data and Reliability Deliverables. * Oversees development of all Technical Writing and Reliability deliverables. * Performs quality reviews of each deliverable prior to submitting for final release to customer. * Supports management in leading group in meeting contract deadlines in addition to maintaining and organizing all product files in addition to updating as directed in meeting customer requests, etc. * Executes budgets/schedules/metrics pertaining to Technical Writing and Reliability deliverables. * Coordinates personnel and resources to meet budget requirements and meet or exceed customer expectations/ schedule deadlines. * Supports ISO 9001 Quality Procedures for all Technical Data and Reliability Department products. Skills and Abilities: * * Able to review and comprehend engineering drawings. Advanced knowledge of computer software, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc. and internet applications. * Organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. * Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and communication skills. * Proven ability as a team leader. * Intermediate understanding of military contracting and knowledge of watercraft vessels and systems/equipment.
