Multi-skilled position responsible for oil & gas measurement of high & low pressure pipeline gathering systems and plant facility. Maintain gas systems Lost & Unaccounted (L&U) for records and use as troubleshooting tool. Have working knowledge of oil and gas handling facilities and associated equipment and how it affects L&U gas

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of EFM Flow computers.
  • Maintain differential pressures between 20 and 80 percent of calibrated range.
  • Calculate volumes and rates, size orifice plates.
  • Operate, inspect and maintain meter tubes.
  • Maintain gas sampling systems, (composite gas samplers), collect gas samples and deliver to gas lab.
  • Operate appropriate PC software (Excel, Work, PCCU, Pro link).
  • Installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of gas chromatographs and BTU analyzers.
  • Maintain custody meter witnessing schedule for liquid meter proving and gas meter testing.
  • Maintain audit preparedness with the ability to respond to and correct audit findings.
  • Installation, programming and maintenance of remote communications hardware.
  • Develop and maintain customer relations with producers and team.
  • Review daily volume report to identify gathering systems and plant balances.
  • Identify, resolve oil and gas measurement discrepancies.
  • Compile and put together monthly volume statements and current gas analysis for accounting by the 4th of the month.
  • Review monthly volume statements with Harvest accounting for possible errors and correct and finalize volume statements by the 10th of each month.

  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years minimum experience in the measurement field.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 6 months as contract measurement to Hilcorp.
  • Have working knowledge of industry best practices and API recommendations.
  • Experience working in a high & low pressure gas gathering system.
  • Installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of EFM Flow computers (Totalflow, Autopilots, Omni), gas chromatographs, analyzers (oxygen and H2S)
  • Ability to understand and interpret equipment manuals.
  • Ability to track project costs and expenditures using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Validate gas measurement data before releasing to accounting department.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
