Job Summary
The Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer will oversee all engineering activities related to rotating equipment within Aluminum Industry projects. This role is part of the Owner's Team and is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of project execution-from engineering design through EPCM and commissioning phases. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance in a multicultural environment.

This position will be based on site in Greenville, SC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of project scope for rotating equipment systems.
  • Plan and schedule engineering activities in alignment with project timelines.
  • Collect and analyze technical data to support design and execution.
  • Identify and assess hazards; implement mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Support construction and execution phases with technical oversight.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports on project status and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Rotating Equipment Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in project engineering.
  • At least 5 years of focused experience in mining, petrochemical, construction, or high-tech capital projects.

  • Proficiency in project control tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

This position will be based on site in Greenville, SC.
