Compensation:

* Base Pay Range: $59,321.60 - 96,761.60 per year, based on experience.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

* Observe and coach physicians, nurses and staff to improve empathy and social skills, including listening, communicating and demonstrating compassion/respect in order to better connect with patients and families.

* Assist leading Patient and Family Advisory Committees (PFACs) by creating a group that fosters meaningful change and is fulfilling to its participants.

* Lead the rounding initiative by training, tracking, and encouraging nurse leaders to round and build relationships with the patients in their units.

* Lead and champion the usage of the Clinician Experience Project, which promotes provider wellness and patient connection.

* Speak at physician and nursing orientation sessions, communicating our patient experience philosophy and framing our purpose and mission.

* May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

* Three (3) years of experience in health care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in nursing.

* Experience in an academic hospital or health system.

* Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
