Position Title: Field Service Technician
Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year QPS Employment Group has a great Field Service Technician position available at a company in St. Louis, MO. This is a direct hire opportunity. Field Service Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Identify problems, disassemble, repair and replace defective parts; reassemble and test machine for proper operation utilizing various electrical test equipment and hand tools. - Train customers on proper equipment usage and maintenance. - Provide feedback for PARs to document defects found in the field and assist with quality control. - Assist with the generation of reports with regard to the research and development of field problems and possible upgrades to existing equipment. - Assist with the generation and development of forms for tracking expenses, planned maintenance reports and training guides. - Punctuality and attendance, since the services to be provided to the customer can only be performed at the customer site and agreements with the customer's scheduling. - Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and system diagnostics at customer location, reporting findings and recommendations for repairs to customers. - Generate, place, and track orders for repair parts and other supplies as required for both warranty and non-warranty repairs. - When required, provides remote support to customers via phone, email, or text. - Maintain detailed service records and reports for all completed work. - Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and internal teams to provide timely updates on service activities, issue resolution, and product improvement opportunities. Field Service Technician Requirements: - Strong Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. - Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools. - Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interactions. - Requires a well-organized individual. - Experience with PLCs, servo systems, and industrial controls (preferred). - Willingness to travel (90%) and work flexible hours as needed. - Ability to independently coordinate and book travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and rental vehicles, while adhering to company travel policies. korea.willingham@qpsemployment.com IND999 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
