Position Title: Steel Production
Wage: $17.50 per hour Shift: 1st; 2nd Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm; 3:30pm-11:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great Steel Production position available at a company in Wilton, IA. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Steel Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist in the production of steel materials. - Set up and operate machines to cut, shear, bend and straighten steel. - Use micrometers to measure pieces and ensure they meet specifications and check completed work pieces for defects. - Use overhead crane to move product to and from shipping and receiving area. *Training Provided* - Feed steel through cleaning machine called a shot blaster. Steel Production Requirements: - Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively throughout shift. - Must be able to bend and crouch down occasionally throughout shift. - Must be able to push and pull 50lbs occasionally throughout shift. - Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. - Must have 2-3 years of experience in related field. - Production experience required. - Must be able to read/write English. - Must be able to read tape measure-- micrometers preferred but will train on both. davenport@qpsemployment.com IND065 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
