Salary range:
The posted UC salary scales [https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html] set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The salary range for this position is $163,300-$190,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan [https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf], which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: July 30, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Aug 29, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Sep 15, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for a Health Sciences Clinician-Investigator position at the Assistant Professor rank. This is a research-based position (approximately 80% research and 20% clinical/teaching). Applicants must be board certified in internal medicine and are preferred to have significant inpatient hospitalist or infectious diseases clinical experience. A California medical license and an M.D. or D.O. are required. Applicants should have a strong background and training in research and possess a track record of NIH funding or equivalent or have applications under review. Preference will be given to applicants with a research focus in global HIV or STI epidemiology, therapeutics and/or diagnostics. Teaching of students, residents, and/or fellows is required.
